Bad Ragartz 2024 in Liechtenstein

Gaia, Martin Wiese, 2021 In the tiny principality of Liechtenstein with a population of slightly under 40,000, there’s an amazing outdoor sculpture exhibition for everyone to enjoy. Many sculptural pieces are part of the Bad Ragartz 2024, an extension of the Swiss Sculpture Triennial held in the spa town of Bad Ragaz across the border in Switzerland. I was lucky to catch the exhibition this October, its final month. I’ve included these outdoor art pieces here. These works are meant to draw and engage young visitors to the exhibition. According to Jasper Krabbé, curator of Artzuid 2023, “Art connects. We would like to involve young people in the plan. Many are struggling and art can be an antidote to the current polarisation, extreme individualisation and the uncertainty fuelled by social media. I hope that at ARTZUID we can reach young people through the influences of street art, neo-pop ar
